What’s this?
These are some of the most interesting and beautiful things that we talked about at our studio this week. We show you the stuff that we have come across on instagram, the web or in real life and that inspires and excites us. And yes, sometimes we mingle in our own projects. We enjoy sharing it with our friends, colleagues and anyone interested. Below this week’s 5 tips, here our collected overview.
1:
Charmingly Clumsy
Anna likes to find beauty in everyday life, a little melancholic and sometimes charmingly clumsy places such as fluorescent-lit areas, tiled floors, apartment complexes and laundries. She turns these elements into wonderful illustrations and objects.
2: Women Designers You Should Know
Designer and now podcast-host Amber Asay highlights groundbreaking contributions of women designers who have shaped the world we live in today. This podcastseries explores the inspiring stories of the women designers who led us the way. Redesigning history and future, focusing on women (our favorite type of humans).
3: Tailor Swif
We were quite literally blown away by this video clip. Which we have been watching on loop all week. Prepare for a sensory overload, fed by AI-generated mayhem, reminiscent of the good old MTV.
4: Fun vs Functional
You can't spell functionality without fun! To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Finnish Design Shop launched their very first in-house collection, Pelata. Crafted by celebrated Nordic designers.
5: Tooltime
Dia is an awesome design studio, specializing in kinetic identities and typographic systems. Their creative tools are an integral part of their work but are often reserved for internal use, closed off for the public. Dia now opened up its archive for everyone to enjoy and play with.
