Tip 5 — week 08, 2024

What’s this?

These are some of the most interesting and beautiful things that we talked about at our studio this week. We show you the stuff that we have come across on instagram, the web or in real life and that inspires and excites us. And yes, sometimes we mingle in our own projects. We enjoy sharing it with our friends, colleagues and anyone interested. Below this week’s 5 tips, here our collected overview.

1: Palladingdong

Matthew Palladino’s universe is mesmerizing; an awesome mixture of dreamy, hallucinatic, spooky, wild and funny! 👌️

2: Take the Bosozoku

Actually, we don’t really know what we were dropping into when we took a dive into the rabbit hole of googling Bosozoku. Not Yakuza, not Vanning, but definitely Japanese. And the golden rule is that everything that comes from Japan is frikking awesome (except of course for Puffer fish).

3: Pike dripping

Jared Pike does that desolate thing to 3D rendering. But instead of cold images, they feel dreamy as hell. Check out his Instagram as well!

4: Spike’s shots

Spike Jonze shot Björk’s videoclip for It’s Oh So Quiet in 1995 and shot a fantastic series of photographs that are now on show in LA’s Arroz & Fun. And for your viewing pleasure, Wetransfer offers a cool little catalogue zine free to download. Shhhhhh, shhhhhhhh.....

5: Jeff’s Phases

If you’re Jeff Koons, why not shoot some art to the moon? It’s actually a bit cooler than it sounds with a nice website to explain the concept and an overview of all 125 Moon Phases that were sent up there.
