Tip 5 — week 03, 2023

What’s this?

These are some of the most interesting and beautiful things that we talked about in our studio this week. We show you the stuff that we have come across on instagram, the web or in real life and that inspires and excites us. And yes, sometimes we mingle in our own projects. We enjoy sharing it with our friends, colleagues and anyone interested. Below this week’s 5 tips, here our collected overview.

1: AI central

AI is a jungle, similar to the early days of  WWW. Because the visual world of AI is so hard to navigate, Prompt Forum (insta) is a very welcome curating help. Their goal is to find and showcase the very best artworks and creators currently pioneering with AI text-to-image tools.

2: Ceramic groceries

Stephanie H. Shih sets her ordinary surroundings in stone. So to speak. A bit like Warhol or Duchamp’s approach in 21th century clay.

3: Serve’s up

The trending TV series of this week in our studio is Break Point. Another recent one that is worth checking out: Star Wars franchise series Andor. And we’re looking forward to season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm and season 3 of Party Down. Also fun to skip through and a good reference list: everything director Steven Soderbergh saw and read in 2022. Bingefest!

4: Lighten up

These days Unfold.Art’s project SORA is generating quite a lot of attention. Big scale immersive light installations with sound are almost always cool, see 404.Zero or Scale Collective or Children of the light.

5: Nicked

Nick Dahlen makes wonderful drawings and paintings. One of his highlights are the illustrations for Myhtology’s cook book.
