Friday TopFiveDay! #46

Our favorites of week 34

Les cinq de Kern.

Every week we share a top 5 of the most interesting, coolest, funniest and most exciting stuff that we have encountered on the web and elsewhere. In our studio we have been sharing things that we see around us and that we find remarkable, for as long as we’ve been a team. This way we keep each other informed of the world outside of our personal perspective, because we have a collective hunger for the new.

With this overview we give you some insight into what fascinates us. In addition to projects from clients and self-initiated projects, this is what Jort, Vivian, Jord, and John Patrick are talking about in the studio. Do share this list and let us know if you have any tips!

Our very first Friday Top 5 (in week 35 of 2019) featured the legendary cool Poolside FM website. And as this edition marks our coming around full circle with a year of Top 5s, what better news than the launch of their OSX app Hang on to the Summer vibes ; )

Obscure Breuer

Architect Marcel Breuer created some of the most impressive brutalist buildings of the 20th century (like the Bijenkorf store in Rotterdam and the Whitney Museum in New York). But we were unaware of these wonderful churches in the Michigan area (church 1 & church 2). Brutal.

Keep the distance

Where We Stand is a design challenge that invites 15 leading creative agencies, designers and design partnerships to respond to a new reality in cities: the need for physical distancing. Great porposals!!

Out of stock

In a time where tv, film and videoclip production is wildly limited it only makes sense to use loads of stock footage. The video for Bronson’s song Keep Moving by StyleWar takes that concept to a new high. (by the way: the video has a very similar vibe as this classic by Pleix for Plaid.)

Listen and ride

Sit back and ride through cities from across the globe with the soundtrack of local radio stations. Genius!!

Next week a new Friday TopFiveDay!!
