Friday TopFiveDay! #22

Our favorites of week 22

5, just like the Jacksons

Every week we share a top 5 of the most interesting, coolest, funniest and most exciting stuff that we have encountered on the web and elsewhere. In our studio we have been sharing things that we see around us and that we find remarkable, for as long as we’ve been a team. This way we keep each other informed of the world outside of our personal perspective, because we have a collective hunger for the new.

With this overview we give you some insight into what fascinates us. In addition to projects from clients and self-initiated projects, this is what Jort, Vivian, Jord, and John Patrick are talking about in the studio. Do share this list and let us know if you have any tips!

Semi lockdown at our studio; we’ve started working in small teams in our studio space again (so good to see each other in real life compared to screen life!), but we still end up chatting away in Zoom, Teams, Whereby and Meet. Hope all of you are doing fine, these 5 will bring some joy hopefully : )

Commercials from isolation

You know fancy car commercials, shot in exotic locations, remote roads, flashy cities? Right. Kind of impossible to pull that off in a world in total lockdown. So instead shot from home. Excellent!

Fade out

Take part in this pretty cool dynamic database that focuses on the deterioration of pop song awareness through time and through generations. Keep repeating for different decades. Brought to you by the mighty fine folks of The Pudding!

Vivian in CMYK

Vivian Maier is without a doubt the most amazing photographer of real life America. She is best known for her black and white street photography, but it’s so nice to have her color work collected in an exhibition as well. Looking forward to seeing this!

Space Weekend – 1

Elon’s space toys project will add a new chapter to the list of objects they have shot into space after satellites, a train of satellites and a Tesla: 2 guys. Been a while, but here’s finally a moment that calls for lounging with popcorn behind a screen waiting for that final countdown. Fingers crossed for no clouds.

Space Weekend – 2

Remember that Donald Trump introduced Space Force last year? Supposedly by accident this Netflix series carries the same name : D Get in the mood for Space X’s launch with a torrent of laughs with Steve Carell and friends!!
