Our suggestions for week 14
Be nice, stay home.
Every week we share a top 5 of the most interesting, coolest, funniest and most exciting stuff that we have encountered on the web and elsewhere. In our studio we have been sharing things that we see around us and that we find remarkable, for as long as we’ve been a team. This way we keep each other informed of the world outside of our personal perspective, because we have a collective hunger for the new.
With this overview we give you some insight into what fascinates us. In addition to projects from clients and self-initiated projects, this is what Jort, Vivian, Jord, and John Patrick are talking about in the studio. Do share this list and let us know if you have any tips!
Inside the lines kids!
The best way to keep kids (and yourself) entertained is by getting lost in coloring plates. Forget about those Disney, Spongebob and Teen Titans Go drawings, it’s time for the good stuff! We came across a couple here (at Counter Print), here (by Adam Highton), here (by Chris Haughton) and here (craziness by Mike Perry). Drop us a line if you know of others and we’ll add them here.
That escelated quickly…
Instagram is turning into a gold mine more and more each mont. Or week. Or day. However it is still remarkable to find crazyness of this level: Celebs on Sandwiches. YES!!! We love what you’re doing there mister Jeff McCarthy! Why not buy a print?
The future is nigh
In our graphic design universe fonts, type, typography and anything in between plays a big and dynamic role. Everyone is a type designer and trends are like a letter-torrent on tilt. It’s nice to see platforms surface that approach this madness with a nice touch. Like Future Fonts. They publish fonts that are still in progress for bargain prices. It’s a nice way of supporting talent and cheer type designers to keep on working on their beauties. No shitty free fonts, but solid quality with an edge. Here’s a nice piece from Wired on this cool project by Scribble Tone (Lizy Gershenzon and Travis Kochel). Also check out this nice feature.
Did we already say we like crazyness? We wish we could taste it too : ( We’re waiting for the day they put Trolli on the shelves of our local supermarkets. For now their advertisements have to do. And boy they do! Here’s their brand new one. YUM. Made by Becky & Joe (of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared fame).
